Creating a Child Account

Before proceeding to create an account for your child, please review the following requirements.

Requirements

• You need to be at least 18 years old.
• You need to have an Amazon Games iD account.
• You will be required to provide parental consent for any child account you create.
• You will need to verify your age in order to create a child account.
• Age verification is done through Yoti and only needs to be done once per parent account.
• An email address for the child account that is not already in use with this service.

Creating a Child Account - Parent Initiation

A parent can follow these steps to create a child account.

1. Go to id.amazongames.com and sign in to your parent account.
2. Go to the Family tab and click Create Account.
3. Select a country or region and click Continue.
4. Enter in the child's date of birth and click Continue.
5. Click Continue to proceed with verifying you're an adult.
6. You will have to do age verification through Yoti if this is your first created child account. Click Continue to proceed with age verification.
7. Click I Consent.
8. Enter in the child's email address and password and click Create Account.
9. Solve the CAPTCHA puzzle.
10. Verify the child's email address by going to that email inbox and clicking Verify Email within the received email.
    • The verification email can take five minutes to arrive. Please check your spam or junk folder if you don't see it in your inbox.
11. Click I've Verified My Child's Email.
12. Choose a display name and click Continue.
13. Choose your desired privacy settings for your child's account and click Continue.

Creating a Child Account - Child Initiation

A child can initiate their own account creation with the steps listed below. However, a parent is required for account creation completion.

1. Go to id.amazongames.com and click Create Account.
2. Enter in your date of birth and click Continue.
3. Permission from a parent will be required. Click Send Email to Parent.
4. Type in the email address of your parent and click Send Email. Your parent can follow these steps when they're ready.

A parent will need to complete the rest of the steps listed below.

1. Go to your email address and open the email received. If this is a valid request, click Create Child Account.
2. Click Continue.
3. Sign in to your Amazon Games iD or create one if you haven't already.
4. Enter in the country or region and click Continue.
5. Enter in the child's date of birth and click Continue.
6. You will have to do age verification through Yoti if this is your first created child account. Click Continue to proceed with age verification.
7. Click I Consent.
8. Enter in the child's email address and password and click Create Account.
9. Solve the CAPTCHA puzzle.
10. Verify the child's email address by going to that email inbox and clicking Verify Email within the received email.
